Return-to-Duty Support for a Commercial Driver: Private, Credible, a Career Protected

This is the shape of an engagement PSI runs often, told without any detail that could identify a real person. A driver between employers had a DOT violation, and under the rules a driver in that position cannot simply retest and return. What looked like a career block or career end had a defined path back, and PSI walked it with the driver as the designated C/TPA: coordinating the Substance Abuse Professional evaluation, arranging the directly observed return-to-duty test, arranging each unannounced follow-up collection through the plan's full term, and entering the Clearinghouse reports the rule requires at every step. The process was handled privately and without judgment, with the driver told plainly which reports the rule requires. The driver completed the process, became eligible to return, was hired back into safety-sensitive work by an employer that made that decision for itself, and the follow-up plan now travels with them wherever they go.
