A large national third-party administrator manages testing programs for employers across the country. It holds the C/TPA relationships and the client reporting, and it needed one thing it could not deliver from a national platform: dependable, physical collection coverage across New Jersey. PSI is that coverage. Our collectors handle the scheduling and the collections statewide, under the partner's program rules, with chain of custody maintained to the same standard on every job. The division of labor follows Part 40: the specimen goes from our collector to the laboratory, the laboratory reports directly to the partner's Medical Review Officer, the MRO reports verified results to each employer's DER, and a breath alcohol result of 0.02 or higher goes from our technician straight to that employer's DER, never through the partner and never through PSI as an intermediary (49 CFR 40.255, 40.355).
How the engagement runs
- The partner keeps the C/TPA role, the client relationships, and the reporting to its clients
- The laboratory reports directly to the partner's MRO, and the MRO reports to each employer's DER; no service agent sits in between
- PSI runs scheduling, collections, and chain of custody across New Jersey
- PSI performs the collections behind the partner's random pool selections, statewide and on schedule
- Coverage spans employer sites across the state, serviced by the same qualified collector bench
- One relationship gives the partner a statewide collection arm without building one
- A collector bench and fleet sized to grow with the partner's New Jersey volume
About this example
- A national platform needs a partner collection team on the ground, and that is PSI
- Multi-year relationship, sustained on completed collections and clean paperwork
- Details generalized to protect the partner's confidentiality
